The mission of the Opera Company of Middlebury is to bring quality live opera productions and other opera experiences to the Middlebury area.

Our vision for the Opera Company of Middlebury is:

• to become a well-known, respected producer of three or more quality opera events per year (live opera, concerts, trips and seminars) for the benefit of residents, visitors and tourists in Middlebury and the surrounding area
• to introduce opera to young people and new audiences
• to teach our audiences how to listen and appreciate opera
• to achieve the financial support needed to produce complete operas with full orchestral accompaniment
• to encourage budding talent and local talent while featuring outstanding performers
• and to have fun while making it happen
