Join the Youth Opera Company of OCM for our final presentation of the Fall ’23 opera workshop. Spirited ensembles from the Spanish operetta genre Zarzuela and soulful songs from the Spanish and Latin American art song repertoire are woven into the tale of a family of daughters and their stories of love, despair and hope. Music by Rodrigo, Sor, Torroba, Obradors, Cordero, Guastavino and Penella. Story and stage direction by Sarah Cullins, music direction and piano accompaniment by Mary Jane Austin and guitar accompaniment by Daniel Gaviria. Suggested donation: $20/adult, $10/student. Light refreshments offered and YOC sweatshirts for sale at each performance.
