Fidelio, Beethoven’s only opera, will be fully staged by Director Douglas Anderson, with orchestra conducted by Music Director Filippo Ciabatti. Sung in German with English supertitles. Fidelio is as timely now as when it debuted in 1805. It’s the story of political prisoners in a corrupt regime, and a woman who risks everything to save her husband.  Beethoven’s score is sumptuous and moving, and OCM has put together a veteran cast that will bring the music and drama to vivid life.
